KNITTING A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

At Lorpen, we don’t just make socks, we craft a better tomorrow with every stitch. Our factory in the heart of the Pyrenees is more than a production site, it’s a green innovation lab where every decision counts. Here’s how we do this:

COMMITTED MANUFACTURING

Certified guardians: Our commitment isn’t just talk. We’re ISO 14001 environmentally certified and now a B Corp-certified brand, part of the global movement to create positive impact in society.

Community-powered energy: Since 2014, 100% of our electricity has been renewable and comes from a cooperative project that empowers citizens to take back control of this essential resource.

Water, our treasure: In the Pyrenees, we learned that every drop counts. That’s why we carefully treat every litre of water throughout our processes. Our system uses water sparingly, treating this precious resource as if it were liquid gold.

MATERIALS EMPLOYED

Materials with a voice: We use fibres that have stories to tell. They’re 100% sustainable, whether natural, biodegradable or recycled, and woven as close to home as possible. Every fibre complies with the OEKO-TEX® standard and holds its respective certifications. Our goal: to keep your feet and the planet equally comfortable.

Creating second chances: For us, waste is an opportunity in disguise. We collaborate with RB Fibres to transform all our textile waste into raw materials for construction and automotive insulation.

Packaging with a purpose: The plastic bags (which protect products in transit) are made from low-density polyethylene, and the boxes are 60% recycled cardboard and are fully recyclable. Beautiful on the outside, responsible on the inside.

WE ARE A B CORP COMPANY

What does it mean to be a B Corp? B Corps are “Businesses with a Purpose”, recognised for their commitment to environmental, social and economic well-being. All B Corps are assessed across five impact areas: workers, environment, customers, governance and community.

As a result, we can measure our efforts to do better every day. This is the start of a journey towards continuous improvement.

WE COLLABORATE WITH EOCA

We’ve been a member of the EOCA (European Outdoor Conservation Association) since 2009. Our commitment to the environment naturally means partnering with those who also work to protect it, so we can give back to the planet that gives us so much.

Don’t know what EOCA is? It is an association that works to conserve wild places and ecosystems for future generations. That’s why its work is essential in the fight against climate change and biodiversity loss. Since 2006, when it was created, EOCA has funded almost 200 projects, investing 5.4 million euros in conservation in 65 countries.
